Ishita’s Story
Arry Pandher - May 31st, 2022
Meet Ishita, a first-year student studying at the University of Saskatchewan, where she is studying cellular psychological pharmacological sciences. Using GrantMe, she learned how to write powerful scholarship essays and ace interviews. Her work with GrantMe allowed her to win over $40,000 in scholarships, including the prestigious University of Saskatchewan Chancellor’s Award worth $30,000.
Ishita’s Approach
During her scholarship journey, the fear of rejection was a pivotal struggle for hers during her journey. Sometimes it was difficult for Ishita to stay motivated; however, with GrantMe’s 1-1 support and curriculum workshops, she remained optimistic and did not let any scholarship rejection letters deter her from applying to other scholarships.
Ishita’s family was a supportive environment, which motivated her to continue to apply for more. By doing that, she increased her scholarship chances as she applied to as many scholarships as she could, which she was able to optimize with our scholarship dashboard.
Ishita’s Future Aspirations
Ishita wants to pursue medicine and, in particular, radiology. Aside from her medical journey, she wants to continue her nonprofit journey by supporting her current nonprofit, Youth Helping Youth Saskatchewan, along with her newly-developed organization, Project Conversations.
Ishita’s Achievements
Ishita secured her future by winning the $30,000 University of Saskatchewan Chancellor’s Award. She won more than $40,000 in scholarships with GrantMe’s support and now has more time to continue to support her younger brother in navigating his educational journey.
