Queen’s offers several Entrance Awards to exceptional students entering their first year of study. These awards are made possible through the generous support of their donors, and the awards recognize academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement.

To be considered for a Queen’s Entrance Award, students must submit a completed Queen’s Undergraduate Admission Application by December 1st for September entry. There are several automatic entrance awards, but students also have the opportunity to apply for major entrance awards, such as the Queen’s Melvin R. Goodes Entrance Award. The Queen’s D&R Sobey Atlantic Admission Award

Queen’s D&R Sobey Atlantic Admission Award was established in 1998 by Donald and Rob Sobey. The scholarship is open to any graduating high school student from Atlantic Canada who wants to pursue a commerce post-secondary education at Queen’s University. This scholarship covers the cost of tuition, books and supplies, and living expenses for four years of study at Queen’s.

The Queen’s D&R Sobey Atlantic Admission Award is a scholarship that is given to a select number of students who are from the Atlantic region of Canada. This award is given to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership qualities, and community involvement. Queen’s University is one of the leading universities in Canada, and this award allows students to study at one of the top universities in the country. There are up to seven scholarships valued at $80,000 every year for incoming first-year commerce students.
