UBC’s Admission Average: Overview

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a highly competitive university, with an admission average of 90%. The University of British Columbia is also one of the largest universities in Canada, with over 60,000 students enrolled. This means that there are a large number of students competing for limited spots in each program. As a result, UBC is a very competitive university.

UBC’s General Admission Average

UBC’s General Admission Average is the average of your best four eligible Grade 12 university-level courses. Courses must meet UBC’s academic breadth and depth requirements to be eligible. The General Admission Average is used to see if you meet UBC’s admission requirements and to make placement decisions for some programs. UBC may use a higher average for selective programs. UBC will recalculate your General Admission Average if you repeat any of your four best courses. UBC will also recalculate your average if you take additional elective courses after you’ve already applied to UBC. However, students admitted usually enter with a 90-92% average out of high school.

What Programs at UBC Have the Highest Admission Averages?
