Financial-Need Based Assitance at UofA
The University of Alberta provides more than $34 million in undergraduate scholarships, awards, and financial aid each year to students of all backgrounds, whether they are high achievers in the classroom, active members of the community, or well-rounded students.
The Office of the Registrar administers need-based financial aid programs, including grants, loans, and work-study programs. Scholarships and bursaries are also available to help cover the cost of tuition. In addition, the University offers a variety of payment options to make tuition more affordable. For example, students can choose to pay their tuition in installments or take advantage of interest-free lines of credit. The University also offers a number of resources to help students understand and manage their finances. These include budgeting workshops, financial counselling, and online resources. By taking advantage of these services, students can ensure that they have the financial resources they need to succeed at the University of Alberta.
